Most democrats do not recognize true evil and Osama and friends thank them for that. Recently John Kerry spoke of so-called ignorance and the lack of education by those who serve in the military. I assume he thinks of himself as one who knows much about higher education having gone to a big college and a big university.

First, I am not knocking higher education but what a person is taught vs. what is not taught does matter in my opinion. Second, many of those serving to protect us each day, have much more intelligence and education than the average civilian. Back to point one, I believe gaining earthly knowledge does not make you know more unless you learn what is true. Here's the thing, the Bible speaks about knowledge of God vs. the knowledge of men. Colossians 2 refers to the philosophy of the world as meaningless. Knowing who Christ is it says is "...in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge." It goes on to warn us to be "beware lest anyone take you captive through philosophy according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ." (Col 2:8) In Him [Christ]...for us became wisdom from God..." Paul says, "I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified....my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom..."
I can imagine Paul would be laughed off the stage today speaking of Christ crucified, preaching the message of the cross and sin, righteousness and judgement.
In 1 Corthinians 1:27 it is written that God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty;"
I see many prominent people who do not understand the nature of the enemy or believe in an enemy of God (namely Satan) as leading many, many people down the broad road that leads to destruction. I pray those who understand right and wrong, good and evil and want to seek to glorify God, will be able to (with God's help) clear up to some degree the already muddied waters by the many voices of confusion.
These words spoken by Paul to a sorcerer named Elymas in Acts 13:9 pretty much sum up my thoughts: "....you enemy of all righteousness, will you not cease perverting the straight ways of the Lord?"
Verse for Today's post: 1 Corinthians 1:19 "...I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent."
