Spreading the Truth of God's Word

Yesterday my cousin and I went down to the cable tv station to submit our latest video tape to air on community access tv. It is the first half of a 2 hour debate on evolution and creation. This debate took place in Florida at a major university before a packed auditorium of students and adults.

We hope to put more tapes on community access in the days to come as we are scheduled to get an hour of air time for this each week. Two other tapes of interest is one called the Priviledged Planet and the second is called Unlocking the Mystery of Life. These productions are very well put together and sadly, are being kept from places they need to be, such as on the The Discovery Channel, Public Television, nature channels and high school science classrooms across the country. Kids are not getting all the truth about our earth, it's origin and life in general. Likewise, some of the "truth" they do learn are actually subtle lies.

If someone knows how one might go about getting these and similar tapes to the Discovery Channel and PBS, I would like to hear your thoughts.

Verse for today's post: John 11:25,26
Jesus said..."I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. "

Charmed

I believe the two most important issues of our existence are (in no particular order): the Islamists goal to rule the world under one world government and that people who don't know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior will go to a place of everlasting punishment called hell after they die.

With the newly elected democrat controlled government, the terrorists can be officially and publicly charmed. Ultimately good will triumph over evil as the Bible predicts (God is over all the world's events) but in the meantime things will get worse before they get better. As mentioned already, I believe Islamic terrorists will gain global control as part of a new world order. The United States is not mentioned in Scripture. What this means is always speculation but it is my guess that our name changes and our ideology becomes part of the new order under Islamic law. (See more information)
It's not a secret to many of us that Islamists want take over the world and it's certainly not a secret to them. I don't believe we can stop them with human strength because Americans (and the world) are not united against the threat. Most people in the world don't even recognize the threat but actually believe that terrorist control is what the world needs for "peace". Sadly, they will get their wish and then it will be to late to realize the mistake. Likewise, if people die still in their sins they will go to hell rather than heaven, as it will be too late to see their mistake. Christians, let us not give up on them while there is still time.
Verse(s) for Today's post: Romans 3:15-18 "Their feet are swift to shed blood; Destruction and misery are in their ways; And the way of peace they have not known. There is no fear of God before their eyes."

This Is Why I Write

The following statement is not only terrible advice but more importantly, it is an outright lie. "If you are seeking your soulmate, consider fasting in honor of the Hindu god Shiva."
That statement is a headline and article recently posted on the Yahoo! home page. (If you visit the page I suggest sending an email of dissatisfaction to the editors and a link to the Gospel like I did)

Isn't it interesting how media outlets are eager to get kids and adult readers learning about pagan gods yet choose to ignore the real source of all life and ultimately the source for salvation-- God Himself through Jesus Christ?

It should be no surprise to true Christians that the God of the Bible is hidden and rejected as much as possible while man-made gods are welcomed and promoted most anyplace one finds the media present. More sobering to me though is that these false messages are strategically placed for the most vulnerable to see and are disguised in such a way even many Bible believing adults will not be able to sense the seriousness of the dangers.

Kids cruise the internet looking for love and people constantly browse news pages all the time. What better way than to mix goddess worship with human love (online personals) all under a recognizable name such as Yahoo! to promote it. People are looking for love everyday and to tell people they can find it through a god/goddess is nothing more than lying.
Those who do this, whether they believe it themselves or just promote it, I think are simply ignorant as spoken of in the Bible. They are held captive by the Devil all the while being ignorant. (see 2 Timothy 2:25-26, Ephesians 4:18 and 2 Peter 3:5)
For this reason and this reason alone I write these things.

Verse(s) for today's post: Colossians 1:15-16
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.

America's Battle from Within

Much has been reported in the media by democrats and democratic sympathizers about how the Iraq war is either going or isn't going and how President Bush will be viewed historically (one of our worst presidents). (I disagree with that assessment but thats a topic for another entry) However, I do think the terrorists know something which most in America don't see nor choose to understand and that is simply this: Evil exists, some recognize it but many do not. Of course, terrorists aren't going to admit being the embodiment of evil but they do know how to use ignorance and propaganda to mask who they truly are. It just so happens they don't need much help in their cause.

Most democrats do not recognize true evil and Osama and friends thank them for that. Recently John Kerry spoke of so-called ignorance and the lack of education by those who serve in the military. I assume he thinks of himself as one who knows much about higher education having gone to a big college and a big university.
First, I am not knocking higher education but what a person is taught vs. what is not taught does matter in my opinion. Second, many of those serving to protect us each day, have much more intelligence and education than the average civilian. Back to point one, I believe gaining earthly knowledge does not make you know more unless you learn what is true. Here's the thing, the Bible speaks about knowledge of God vs. the knowledge of men. Colossians 2 refers to the philosophy of the world as meaningless. Knowing who Christ is it says is "...in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge." It goes on to warn us to be "beware lest anyone take you captive through philosophy according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ." (Col 2:8) In Him [Christ]...for us became wisdom from God..." Paul says, "I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified....my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom..."

I can imagine Paul would be laughed off the stage today speaking of Christ crucified, preaching the message of the cross and sin, righteousness and judgement.
In 1 Corthinians 1:27 it is written that God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty;"

I see many prominent people who do not understand the nature of the enemy or believe in an enemy of God (namely Satan) as leading many, many people down the broad road that leads to destruction. I pray those who understand right and wrong, good and evil and want to seek to glorify God, will be able to (with God's help) clear up to some degree the already muddied waters by the many voices of confusion.

These words spoken by Paul to a sorcerer named Elymas in Acts 13:9 pretty much sum up my thoughts: "....you enemy of all righteousness, will you not cease perverting the straight ways of the Lord?"

Verse for Today's post: 1 Corinthians 1:19 "...I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent."
