Why Barack Obama will win the 2008 Election

There are a few excellent reasons I believe Barack Obama will win in 2008.
I do hope I am wrong about this but right now I can't see any other outcome.

First, the media as a whole loves Barack Obama. I think when the media rallies behind a person you can count on that person looking very good to the average voter. When viewers see likability in a person being portrayed through the great influences of movies, newscasts and late-night comedy routines one can't help to start liking who they see.

Second, I believe most people are against God and don' t even have a biblical worldview. They instead have made their own god to fit their own selfish desires. So when one doesn't care what God thinks in much of anything, sin gets picked most every time. I know people won't call it voting for sin and so we'll put on a pink, green, yellow and blue tiara with a dress and give it a more tolerable name like.....let say, tolerance!?
It can be difficult to not vote for sin (in the name of tolerance, acceptance, etc.) and we naturally gravitate to self serving pleasures. The Bible confirms this in that it is written we are all born into sin (Romans 3:23) (sin is doing what doesn't satisfy God's holy standard of perfection seen in His law).
Lets take abortion for example. There are two choices to choose from. One choice is putting the interest of one (the baby) ahead of another (the mother) and not killing a baby. The other choice is choosing "self first"(the mother) and killing the baby because you believe it's the "woman's right".
Gay marriage is similar because it's about doing something to serve "self interest" rather than considering what God thinks about it and seeking to do what He desires seen in His word. Therefore, the candidate who emulates a voter's worldview will get his/her support.

I believe Barack Obama's public worldview resembles more voters who are anti-God and anti-Christ. For this reason alone, Obama will win the election. The Bible says no one seeks after God or understands and because as was already mentioned, we have all sinned against Him it goes without saying that if most people are against God than most will vote for the candidate who makes them feel less guilty about everything. Therefore, without a way higher than ourselves out of this mess, we are indeed doomed and God's anger and wrath against sin abides on us. See the whole test at www.areyougood.us for the only way out before it's too late

I do believe that an imperfect person can be a clear example as a candidate for president and able to stand for what is right biblically speaking. This person must be humble and with God's direction and help, could be a decent leader for our country.
The story of John McCain is one of humility and that of a servant's heart. He put his fellow comrades first before his own when he was captured and tortured by enemies. However, Jesus is the complete perfect example of humility and demonstrated how to be a servant and put other's interests ahead of Himself. His ultimate demonstration of this was in His sacrificial death and resurrection for our sin on a cross.
Barack Obama's story however seems quite a bit more obscure and hazy to me. For example, is Barack Obama a Muslim or really something else? There are rumors swirling around the claim of whether or not he is or isn't truly a Muslim but can we say for sure? This uncertainty will surely garner votes for him because right now he appears to be quite appealing for many, many people. Not to forget, he has claimed to be a Christian. However, based on his worldview which is in direct opposition to biblical Christianity, I don't believe he can rightly be called one. Perhaps his REAL faith will come out when all the votes are cast.
Likewise, the world seems to love Obama beyond perhaps even his wildest dreams but most unfortunate---so do Islamic Fundamentalists. And so if anything can be said of these two people McCain and Obama, I think John McCain more closely resembles a Jesus type figure because of his humbleness and self sacrificing attitude while Barack Obama looks a lot like a Barabbas or a King Saul type---they were overwhelmingly the people's choice.

Because I don't believe enough people are excited about John McCain even after the selection of Sarah Palin as his running mate, I think Obama will win. Some people believe McCain is not conservative enough especially when it comes to his views on immigration, global warming, oil drilling and his seemingly great desire to work with democrats and compromise rather than stand up for conservative biblical principles.
John McCain seems to hold to a biblical worldview on moral issues and his demonstration of his servants' heart is not in question. He will get many votes from conservatives and Christians for these reasons but much of his support will be because the alternative is so anti- God. I'd rather like to think a person is chosen because of a candidate's core values and worldview rather than because the opposition is so horrendous as an option. So in the end, I think the lack of excitement for the presidential candidate, not just excitement for the running mate, will only help Barack.

Another reason is that a majority of people hate or have become hateful of George W. Bush. Rightly or wrongly, this loathing of the President by a majority of people will not help John McCain because he and Bush both belong to the same party.

Finally, Obama will win because of his view or lack of understanding on Islam as a grave threat to our existence. I believe most people who will be voting believe like he. They believe that Islam is not a threat to America. They believe it is not a real danger to the world and maybe even deny that a threat truly exists. Along with their hatred of President Bush, these folks think terrorism is something George Bush made up or even caused. As a supporter of the President I will concede that he doesn't completely understand the threat we face in regards to the danger of Islam itself. Indeed it is difficult when the devil is so clever and happens to be the father of lies. So because we as a people don't understand Islam such as it's core desire for mass murder, and call to eradicate the nation of Israel, their goal for world domination and most dangerous of all that anything can be contradictory and yet acceptable under Islamic religious belief (see Islamic Dualism, Dualism, Political Islam), we cannot win against such an enemy without God's help, will and strength.

As I said at the start, I do hope I am wrong about this year.
Jesus said that a house divided against itself cannot stand ((Mathew 12:25, Mark 2:25, Luke 11:17).
When there is more disdain for President Bush and his action on his statement "you are either for us or against us" rather than against true, righteous disdain for true evil, all signs seem to point to an obvious direction voters will be voting.

a few comments.

1) barack obama has shown, repeatedly and conclusively, that he was born in the united states, was raised a christian, and has always been and still is a christian. any of the rumors about his purported muslim upbringing or faith can be easily refuted with many, many credible sources all over the internet. here is one very good one that might correct some of your statements. http://urbanlegends.about.com/library/bl_barack_obama_muslim.htm

2) islam as a faith is not the threat that we need to be frightened of. it is the islamic fundamentalist factions who -- by the statements of many muslim leaders -- have distorted and perverted the overwhelmingly peaceful religion of islam. especially if you consider yourself a religious scholar, i urge you to do some reading about mainstream islam, about the faith practiced by hundreds of millions of people who do NOT support or condone the actions of fundamentalists or of movements and regimes like the taliban.

i personally spent nearly a year in malaysia, an islamic democracy, and the people i met there who practiced islam are still some of the most peaceful, thoughtful, and at peace individuals i've ever met. certainly there are bad apples in every barrel, and just as extremists exist in the muslim world, they also exist here in america and in the christian world. history shows countless horrific acts committed in the name of god and jesus christ, all the way into the present day. but that doesn't mean every christian supports genocide and murder, war and wholesale destruction of groups of people.

3) we are lucky enough to live in the united states, where the government was founded on the principle of separation of church and state -- a principle that allows all of us to practice our chosen faith regardless of public opinion, and which has in the past and will continue to safeguard your practice of christianity just as it allows muslim americans to worship without censure or repercussion from the government. this is a tremendous blessing which you benefit from on a daily basis. it is foundational, then, when we elect a president, that we do so on the merits of the individual and not simply because of their chosen faith. if obama were really a muslim, or even if he had been raised as one in his very early childhood, IT SHOULDN'T MATTER. when we put religious belief above all other qualifications in choosing a president, we are thumbing our noses at the people who created our constitution and our country to be a place where everyone could be free from religious persecution and judgment. the first white americans were fleeing just the sort of persecution a lot of people are turning around and pushing towards ordinary americans who happen to be muslim.

i don't expect to be able to change your mind on this subject, but i do hope you at least give my comments here some thought.

if god intended for us to make religious faith the primary criteria for choosing our country's president, don't you think he'd have made sure we left separation of church and state out of the constitution?

we did leave separation of church and state out of the constitution. It is not in there at all! This Country was not founded on the principle of church and state. It was based on the principle that all men are created equal and have certain rights that are givin to them by their creator. The principle of church and state was a phrase coined by the aclu, not the founding fathers.

"Why Barak Obama will win the 2008 Election"...your reasons not only infuriated me, but they made me kinda sick to the stomache.

One: I'm so tired of people trying to break the reason he will or have won the election. I am not a racist, but i voted for Obama because i feel like he as a black man and various other background reasons can identify more with me. Why does this not make me racist, because my reason for not voting for McCain was not because he was white. I did not vote for him, because he is an idiot...personally I feel like he acts just like Bush. Everything is a joke...and the biggest joke for choosing Sarah Palin, but another Post on another day.

Two: I wouldn't make such a bold statement such as "Most people are against God..." Do you even know "most" people. It's one thing to sin...because the Bible states that we ALL have sinned and come short in His glory...but does that mean we are against Him? If you would do some research, I think you will find that most people believe in God..even in the midst of our mess. Never underestimate what you simply do not know nor understand.

Three: I do not in any manner believe in abortion, but I sat thinking one day...would I want someone telling me what i can and can not do to my body? NO!! Why can there not be a choice? God himself gives us a choice, He will not make us do what is righteous, He will not force our hands. So, why would some mortal man make a decision for me as to what i can and can not do to my body. If you do not give someone a choice to terminate their pregnancy, then it will be done with even dire consequences. More babies will end up in dumpsters, in the toilet, in the back of a closet. We can not have it both ways. I would much rather them end it early instead of tossing a breathing baby as tomorrow's trash. Let's let God do the judging.

What is wrong with likeing Mr. Obama? How much better are we than Him? Let us be honest, our sins are just as bad..it's just that he is out in the public's eye, we're not. I can concur with him on his views and I for one am not anti-God nor am i anti-Christ.

"The story of John McCain is one of humility and that of a servant's heart. He put his fellow comrades first before his own when he was captured and tortured by enemies. However, Jesus is the complete perfect example of humility and demonstrated how to be a servant and put other's interests ahead of Himself.." I should break out the violin...seriously. Were you there? Do you know the full story, because I have a story that will contradict yours. It's one where he run and hid, one where his selvish ways kicked in and he did nothing. But who cares...neither one of us was there, we wouldnt know what really happened. But one we do know, is that he totally disowns his black daughter. He so we should ask..is that what Jesus would do? Not many people know this known fact, and Obama's people refused to let it be known...and they knew about it. Not only that, Mr. McCain disowns his entire black family...See, I'm trying to not get into this, because this is for another post, but you are trying to compare him to Jesus...and NO ONE IS WORTHY OF BEING COMPARED TO HIM. We are all filthy dirty rags in comparison to Christ, so don't you ever attempt to compare somebody like him to Jesus...not only are you trying uplift McCain, but by doing so, you are putting Jesus down big time. SHAME ON YOU!!!

"Barack Obama's story however seems quite a bit more obscure and hazy to me. For example, is Barack Obama a Muslim or really something else? There are rumors swirling around the claim of whether or not he is or isn't truly a Muslim but can we say for sure?" So why is it that Christians are the only ones who get to be President? Do you not understand that Religions are a division? So what if he is or was a Muslim, does that not make him a good person? Again, you, like many others, make assumptions on things that you do not seem to understand. Because "you heard" that he was a Muslim, does that make him an extremist? Did he go out and plan attacks against anyone. You are totally not making any sense at all here. There are Muslims in our Military...yes they actually fight for you and me and our kids. There are Muslim doctors and teachers...yes they cure our ailments and teach our kids. Muslim is a religion just like Christianity. Its a way of thinking for one to be a terrorist or extremist.

I can sit here and write a book about all of this you have said, but i am at work...however by reading your post it just goes to show that you like many others are very IGNORANT.

OBAMA/BIDEN'09--ITS OUR TIME NOW--GOD WAS IS AND WILL ALWAYS BE IN THE PLAN

One response to the statement "I think you will find that most people believe in God".
In the Bible, James 2:19 it is written that, " You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe--and tremble!"

So I realize that most people do believe in a god suited to their own liking but keep in mind it's how God Himself views evil and not what I think that ultimately matters especially when you or I face Him on Judgment Day.
It is written in 1 Peter 3:12 "the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
and his ears are open to their prayer.
But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil."
