A Simple Thought on Trusting God

Sometimes things happen in a person's life which lead one to learn how to trust God more. I believe God takes a person through life to use whatever means may be necessary to teach a person to trust Him and Him alone. It's been a struggle for me at certain times to know about completely trusting the Lord. As Christians, I'm sure we all struggle with it...a time when we're down and the Devil will attack of course. I think God is teaching me about this again. My girlfriend and I desire wholeheartedly to seek His guidance alone in our relationship and we agree this is the only way. My girlfriend has immense depth for spiritual things and an incredible ability for reminding me in whom we are trusting at just the right time. Yes, she is amazing. God has blessed her with this gift of course, and so I thank Him for bringing her into my life and allowing us to fall in love. And so I think whether it's a person who is brought into your life or an event that takes place, remember that God may be speaking through that person or a particular situation and using that to help you learn something else or to simply trust Him wholeheartedly.

Show me Your ways, O LORD; teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; on You I wait all the day. Psalm 25:4-5

"You (the Lord) will keep in perfect PEACE him whose mind is STEADFAST, because he trusts in You. TRUST in the LORD forever, for the Lord, the Lord, is the Rock eternal." Isaiah 26:3-4 (NIV)

I just went through a trust-growing moment... I was beginning to mentally struggle with something which was a fabrication. It could have become something more real in my mind but your web-log came to mind along with the verses above.
The simple, yet powerful action of "trust in the Lord forever" can stop all fallacies in their tracks and prevent lots of anxiety that can overcome a person. Ok, which would I rather have? Perfect Peace because of a mind which is steadfast on the Lord? or Anxiety because of a false thought attacking my mind? My heart would say "an order of the Perfect Peace Please!"
So here's the solution, right?
Trust in the Lord = Perfect Peace
But how? When? Where? The step between the trusting and the perfect peace lies in the "him whose mind is steadfast." Steadfast on who? or What? The Lord and His Truth.

John 8:31-32 Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."
and Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
