Looking at hypocrisy
I'm quite certain many who have seen the movie Runaway Bride starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere would say they enjoyed it. In the movie, Julia Roberts played a bride who "ranaway" from her wedding three times before tying the knot. We watch it and think, how funny, great fun, after all it is just a movie. I know personally as I watched the film I was thinking, does this stuff really happen? Well, apparently it does...sort of. The woman who has recently "runaway" from her wedding (see story here) is facing public ridicule for her actions but I believe many of us are being extremely hypocritical. I am not condoning her lying as to a supposed abduction but I do believe the mentality that sought to see Terri Shaivo starve to death is rearing it's ugly head once again. In fact, many have forgotten what happened on September 11, 2001 and such true evil still exists. People wish to murder us because their religion and god demands it! The vindictiveness that has been seen as of late toward Ms. Wilbanks seems to be unfortunately becoming a trend. Instead of us embracing her for rethinking marriage (not to condone the method) perhaps we all need to take a good hard look in the mirror before we pass such a harsh judgment. I surmise that Julia Roberts would not face such public humility.

I was thinking the same way as you were.
I saw this morning that the girl who ranaway for real, will be on one of the big nighttime news stations for an interview... Now I don't always know if they are reliable sources to obtain information from, but its neat to hear that her whole story will be brought out as a main event to watch.
Then again is it neat? I mean its her life; she was brought into public scrutiny beyond what I believe she had to be and now she has to explain in detail why she did what she did.
What an affliction, uh?
As a little sneakpeak into the interview, the commercial promoting us to watch this interview and be enlightened, had a comment from the girl.
In a humbling tone of voice, she said "it was really a matter of life and death..."
I think of what I believe to be matters of life and death... and how this may relate to what the world may hear from this young lady tonight. I definitly can see how Spiritual life and death may be affected when deciding if its right to marry someone or not.
I wonder, without me knowing her whole story or even the bits that others know and have seen on the news, if God will use this interview tonight to bring Him honor, glory, and praise and to draw others to Himself
I pray it be so, in Jesus name.

Reada, I totally agree with you and thanks for the comment too.
